Our Impression
Nybynäs Gård is for couples who love the idea of a countryside barn wedding, but still want a venue that feels considered and well equipped for an actual celebration.
Just outside Västerås, the renovated barn, Magasinet, combines rustic character with a more modern Scandinavian feel. Inside, there is space for dinner, dancing, a bar and lounge areas, while the surrounding countryside gives you plenty of opportunities to move parts of the wedding outdoors.
You can bring your own food and drinks, and there is a large kitchen available on site, which offers a flexibility that can be difficult to find.
There is also the possibility of having access to the venue for several days. For couples planning to decorate themselves, bring in their own suppliers or simply want more time to prepare without squeezing everything into the wedding morning, this can make a real difference.
With space for up to approximately 150 guests, Nybynäs works well for both medium-sized and larger celebrations. And as the barn is heated and insulated, weddings are not limited to the summer months.
One practical consideration is transportation. As the venue is located outside Västerås and does not offer accommodation on site, we would recommend thinking about guest transport early. For example, arranging a bus or other shared transportation to and from hotels in Västerås.
For us, Nybynäs is particularly interesting for couples who want the character of a countryside wedding together with the freedom to shape the celebration their own way.
