Our Impression
Finding Villa Äng is part of the experience. At the end of a quiet forest road, the trees eventually open up to reveal a private villa, a wide meadow and the Lule River running alongside it.
The house itself immediately caught our attention. From the stone walls and slightly sloping grass-covered roof to the large windows overlooking the meadow and river, every part feels thoughtfully designed to belong in its surroundings.
But what stayed with us most was the calm. Villa Äng is the kind of place that makes you want to put your phone away almost as soon as you arrive. Evenings can be spent in the outdoor hot tub or by the fire, and depending on the season, you might experience the Northern Lights or the Midnight Sun.
For weddings, one of Villa Äng's greatest strengths is its privacy. You rent the entire property, with a private chef and support available when needed, while still having the freedom to enjoy the house and your time together in your own way. It creates a lovely balance between being taken care of and feeling as though the place is entirely yours.
There are ten beds on site, including a suite, making Villa Äng particularly suited to intimate destination weddings and elopements. Celebrations can also extend beyond the house itself. The meadow creates possibilities for larger dinners and tented celebrations, with additional accommodation available nearby for weddings with more guests.
This is undoubtedly a luxury experience, and one for couples who want to make the setting and the time spent together a central part of their wedding.
